CAUTION – Once in Lineville, do not rely on GPS or web generated directions (Google, MapQuest, ect…) to Doc Hilt Trails on Good Hope Road. The bridge is out coming from the south (Highland Road). You must come in from Oak Grove Rd.

From all directions, this is the route once in Lineville…
From downtown Lineville, take Hwy 49 north 3 miles and turn left onto Driggers Rd. just past church on right, then dead end into Oak Grove Rd. (1 mile). Turn left onto Oak Grove Rd and take the first right (0.2 miles) onto Good Hope Road (county gravel road). Stay straight 1.5 miles to arrive at Doc Hilt Trails.

From Anniston (40 miles from downtown) - Take I-20 (east) towards Atlanta to Exit #191 and turn right (south) on Hwy 431 towards Wedowee and go about 8.5 miles and turn right onto Hwy 9 south towards Lineville. Go about 18 miles to the center of town in Lineville. At the Shell station turn right onto Hwy 49 north… (see above)
From Atlanta (99 miles from downtown) – From downtown Atlanta take I-20 west towards Birmingham to the 3rd Alabama Exit #199 Hwy 9 off ramp. Turn left on Hwy 9 south and go about 25 miles to the center of town in Lineville. At the Shell station turn right onto Hwy 49 north… (see above)
From Auburn (65 miles from downtown) – From downtown Auburn take Hwy 15 College St toward Reese Ave, stay on Hwy 147N and turn left (about 2 miles) onto Hwy 280W for 21 miles. Turn right onto Hwy 49 north/Horsheshoe Bend Rd and go 37 miles into downtown Lineville to the Shell station. Stay on Hwy 49 north… (see above)
From Birmingham (90 miles from downtown) - From downtown Birmingham take I-20 east towards Atlanta to Exit #191 Hwy 431. Turn right on Hwy 431 south towards Wedowee and go about 8.5 miles and turn right onto Hwy 9 south towards Lineville. Go about 18 miles to the center of town in Lineville. At the Shell station turn right onto Hwy 49 north… (see above)
From Columbus (99 miles from downtown) – From downtown Columbus take Hwy 280 for 26 miles to right on Hwy 431 approx 57 miles into Wedowee. Take a left in Wedowee onto Hwy 48 towards Lineville 15.5 miles. Turn left onto Hwy 9 south to the center of Lineville. At the Shell station turn right onto Hwy 49 north… (see above)
From Gadsden (70 miles from downtown) – Take Hwy 1/Hwy 431 south to Anniston, continue on Quintard Dr. to I-20 and turn left (east) towards Atlanta. Take Exit #191 and continue south on Hwy 431 towards Wedowee and go about 8.5 miles and turn right onto Hwy 9 south towards Lineville. Go about 18 miles to the center of town in Lineville. From LaGrange (60 miles from downtown) – From downtown LaGrange go west 2 miles on Hwy 29 toward W Lafayette Square and turn a slight right at Hwy 109/Roanoke Rd 18 miles to right onto Hwy 431 in Roanoke towards Wedowee. Go 15.5 miles to Wedowee. Take a left in Wedowee onto Hwy 48 west towards Lineville 15.5 miles. Turn left onto Hwy 9 south to the center of Lineville. From Montgomery (85 miles from downtown) – From downtown Montgomery take Hwy 231 Wetumpka Hwy to right on Hwy 9 in Wetumpka. Go about 59 miles to Ashland. Turn right in Ashland and follow Hwy 9 north about 5 miles to the center of Lineville. At the Shell station turn left onto Hwy 49 north… (see above)
